Personal Branding

As an exercise with a SimplyStrengths eLearning client, I asked her to run a "does it matter" interview with me. In the interview, she helped me craft this new Strength Statement.  You learn something about yourself every day:"I feel strong brainstorming personal branding strategies with smart people who want to succeed."My initial "capture" was - I felt strong talking to Scott about his business cards. By asking a series of "does it matter" questions, my client was able to help me see that I…See More

Profile Information

At work, do you have the opportunity to do what you do best every day?
Yes, as long as I don't get in the way and mess things up.
Profession
Author, Consultant, Professional Thinker
Best part of your job:
Watching the small glow when someone I'm working with begins to see the light. Helping people make the best use of their abilities is my nourishment.
Your 2nd choice of profession (and why):
Tour Bus Driver in Yosemite National Park: I love YNP. There's a spiritual thing that happens to me when I'm there. And showing people something new about the place I love would be awesome.

University professor: Being able to shape young minds before the world screwed them up.
Your favorite book/movie/time waster:
19th and early 20th century fiction - Verne, Hugo, London, Wells.
"The American President" - one can hope for THAT kind of leader.
"A Beautiful Mind" - The incredible power of a brilliant mind.
You would love to meet:
Myself, 30 years ago.
Other fascinating details about you (bio, hidden talents, etc.)
Love to cook - but hate doing it for a living.
Crossword junkie.
Bluegrass fan.

Hi Jim.  I hope things are going well for you in beautiful Arroyo Grande.  We were in Cayucos a couple of weeks ago at our relatives duplex on the ocean . . . . and I wish we were there now!
