At work, do you have the opportunity to do what you do best every day?
Yes. I feel like I've found a great home that gives me the chance to grow and be my best.
Career Coach for MBA students
Best part of your job:
The best part of my job is that I get the opportunity to connect with students on a deep personal level and help them figure out how to best use their strengths to build a great career. I love listening to their stories and telling my own.
Your 2nd choice of profession (and why):
I would be a high school band director. I have an enduring passion for music and I get a kick out of cultivating that passion in others. It's a thrill to watch them amaze themselves.
Your favorite book/movie/time waster:
Duke Ellington's autobiography, Music is My Mistress. He's a true original and created a stunning body of original work. He's also a master at getting the most out of an organization by building it around the band members strengths. He was a management genius.
You would love to meet:
Sonny Rollins, probably the worlds greatest living musician
Other fascinating details about you (bio, hidden talents, etc.)
I'm a great cook and cooking teacher. I really want to develop that natural talent. Cooking and music are two things that I'm absolutely rabid about improving everday. I love telling stories and entertaining, and excel at putting people at ease and connecting with them on a deep human level. I'm also a total peacock clotheshorse.

I'm pretty sure I saw Sonny Rollins in 2008, at the Umbria Jazz festival in Italy. I remember he just looked so happy when he walked out onto the stage- just delighted. It was a neat experience, for sure. :]
