Welcome to the StandOut User Group!

We here at TMBC are excited to finally have the chance to discuss our newest tool to help people put their strengths to work. We felt strongly that this assessment had to go beyond simply describing those who take it; instead, StandOut gives you specific strategies for how to make the most of your own strengths in various situations. For those of you who are managers, it can also provide a wealth of information on the strengths of your team and on how to manage people with specific strengths roles.

We hope you'll find StandOut useful, and we look forward to being part of the discussions here!

Can we identify our top five strengths along with our Stand Out profiles?  My  top 5 are Activator, Strategic, Command, Focus and Ideation.  My top two Standouts are Pioneer and Influencer.  Seems pretty aligned to me.

Pioneer and Provider. "Here is a fabulous idea... it is really good and it needs to be done now, but don't worry I will take you all with me, you are just gonna love it :)"

My top two strengths are Stimulator and Teacher. I found both of these (and the combination) to be right on track for me. As a corporate trainer for both representatives and managers I live my strengths every day. Now it took me several years to create my job based on these strengths but I now see how all of the steps I have taken along the way, what my most satisfying moments were from each of those steps have enabled me to do what I love to do. Now the challenge is to continually grow in these strengths and take the organization along for the ride!

My top two is pioneer and advisor. I am also interested in the relation of the roles and the themes of strengthfinder.

My top 2 were Creator and Connector.  The descriptions were absolutely spot on and resonated very deeply for me.  The sections on Leadership and using Top 2 Roles synthetically are very intriguing and  helpful.

Just did the assessment.  I have Pioneer and Influencer.  I completely recognized myself-- have always said I'm a great architect but a lousy engineer, and LOVE novelty, risk and bringing others along for the ride.

Connector and Stimulator and YES every single day!  I love assisting others in doing the same...makes for a JOYfilled life!

My Top 2 are Advisor/Equalizer and I see it play out every day at my work. I think knowing what these two roles are help me better understand the way in which I approach my work and the questions I ask. Its totally right - the top questions I ask are 'what is the best thing to do' followed shortly by 'what is the right thing to do'

So, for the past year I have been encouraged by clients and professional peers (I am a consultant) to transition my consulting toward pure coaching.  I listened, researched, investigated, and finally decided it was a more natural fit for my strengths. My clients said they saw more results when they spent 2-3 hours with me every couple of weeks.

I was excited to see how my strengths aligned with the roles in Standout. . . So, I learned that my Roles are TEACHER/PROVIDER. Having read the descriptions and the full report I can now see why coaching is  PERFECT sweet-spot for me.  I let my 12-yr old read the report last night, and she said, "Dad! This is SOOO you!" So, this was empowering, informative, encouraging. I loved the practical work-related descriptions. They enabled me to picture myself in my roles and connect to my passions.  Thanks, Marcus and TMBC team! Over-the-top job!  By the way, I just won a large Employee Engagement/Customer Engagement consulting project with a large GulfState Toyota dealership.  This tool will be perfect as we discover the EE index and develop strategies for developing the managers!

Hi - I also just joined StandOut. I jsut took my assessment this afternoo. My top 2 are Connector and Teacher. Not a surprise for me. I took the assessment to learn how to use my strengths more and more effectively since I started a new role in my company a few months ago.
