I am new to this forum and I was wondering if someone could help me. I am a Career Coach and I started to use the Strength Finder Assessment to help my clients find a career that can leverage their talents. I would like to find a workshop that could help me interpret the results of the assessment and work with the themes to guide clients through the search. I checked with the Gallup organization and they have a certification, but it is quite expensive. I also checked with Marcus Buckingham organization, but I only found the Stand Out certification. Does anyone know of a workshop that could give me the tools I need that would not be very expensive? Thank you, Ana M. Trbojevich
I believe the Strengths Essentials kit should be good for your purposes. Just in case you have not checked out the two resources: Trombone Player Wanted (DVD) and Go, Put Your Strengths to Work kit. These two starter resources would be a good way to get a feel for Strengths self-discovery (which seems to be a much more effective way to do strengths training). Go is a great resource that allows the client to determine very particular actions that make him or her feel weak or strong, then guides them to volunteer and lean into those strengths while managing around the weaknesses.
My plan as a coach is to implement Go, Put Your Strengths to Work with TrombonePlayer Wanted then following up these self-discovery resources with the "rubber meets the road" resource such as 48 Days to the Work You Love by Dan Miller for a career search if needed. (48Days.com)
