The short answer is yes. The long answer is maybe. I don't believe our talent themes predict success in a given career, though they may give us a leg up. The question is not whether you can be a lawyer, the question is how can you use your talent themes to be the best lawyer you can be. Also, what type of lawyer? Your Empathy theme would seem to say defense, as opposed to corporate law or prosecutor.
Talent themes won't become strengths unless you work at them. Over time, as you identify opportunities to use them, you be able to hone your themes into strenghts.
As Marcus points out in "Go, Put Your Strengths To Work," building a strong week starts with identifying tasks or activities that make you feel strong and ends with you doing them more often, volunteering them to the group as much as possible.
