I found this very enlightening.  Many surprises in my top 10 and bottom 5.

Great stuff.  They also do a good job of categorizing all 34 themes into four Domains of Leadership strenghts, which I plan on putting to good use.

Kenneth,

Does the $89 assessment give you a list of which themes fit into which leadership domains?

----------------------------------

For those curious about what I mean, the 4 domains that Gallup divided the talent themes into are:

  • Thinking Themes (Working Smarter)
  • Striving Themes (Working Harder)
  • Impacting Themes (Influencing People)
  • Relating Themes (Working with People)

They also found that different themes of talent can fall under four leadership roles, which they talk about in the book, Strengths-based Leadership.

From what I can see, the leadership domains are very similar to what StandOut does, in that it sort of groups themes of talent such that they describe not so much only who you are, but what you look like in terms of how you approach things.

The report does show you which themes fit into which leadership domains. The domains are: Influencing, Executing, Strategic Thinking and Relationship Building.
